Vision Check Fixture
General
After the part is stud welded at Station 060, the part is transferred to the Vision Check Fixture by Robot 2V05=V01AR14 on the 7-axis slide. Once the robot clears the fixture, this fixture holds the place in position for Robot 2V05=V01AR191 to position the vision system in place and run visions checks. When the vision test is completed, Robot 2V05=V01AR14 on the 7-axis slide will remove the part and place it in the pullout cart or on the exit conveyor.
Major Components
The Vision Check Fixture features the following components.
Item | Description | Function |
---|---|---|
A | Clamps | The Tunkers clamps actuate via pneumatic cylinder and secures the part into position while vision checks are performed. |
B | Locating Pins | The Locating Pins on the Vision Check Fixture allow for the accurate and controlled placement of the parts. When the material handling robot loads the part onto the Vision Check Fixture, the part must have each locating pin inserted into the locating hole. |
C | Inductive Sensor | The inductive sensor checks for proper location of the part in the Vision Check Fixture. |
D | Pneumatic Supply Package | Controls the pneumatic inputs and outputs of the fixture, based by information sent from the sensors on the fixture and the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). |
