Load Table

General

There are two (2) load tables at Station 010 located in the 2V06 Rear Wall Cell. The load table allows for the operator to first load the part into the cell. After the part is loaded, the operator will exit the work area and press the palm button to begin the sequence. Once the button is pressed, the material handling robot will grab the part from the fixture and move it to the next station.

Major Components

The Load Table features the following components.

Item Description Function
A Rough Locators To ensure parts are properly loaded onto the Geo Fixture, the Rough Locators provide a way for the operator to align and place the parts into the fixture.
B Locating Pins The locating pins on the load table allow for the accurate and controlled placement of the parts. When the operator loads the part onto the Geo Fixture, the part must have each locating pin inserted into the locating hole.
C Shot Pins The pneumatic cylinders will raise the locating pins to further verify the part is in the correct position.
D Inductive Sensor Detects the presence or absence of metal objects without making physical contact with them. It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a metal object is brought near the sensor, it disturbs the electromagnetic field produced by the sensor, which in turn causes a change in the sensor output signal.
