ABB Integrated Dispensing Connector (IDC)

General

The Integrated Dispensing Connector (IDC) receive AC from the Power Distribution Panel. The IDC supplies power to the heating unit of the ABB Sealer System, and integrates the dispensing system and the IRC5 Robot Controller that is associated with the sealer system.

The (IDC) includes two (2) disconnect switches located on the side of the panel. The top disconnect switch removes power from the panel that comes from the Main PDP. The bottom switch controls power to the heating controls for the ABB Sealer System.

A Main Disconnect Switch Rotary Disconnect switch that will remove power from the unit from the PDP.
B Heat Disconnect Switch Removes power from the heating system of the ABB Sealer System.

Major Components

The ABB Integrated Dispensing Connector (IDC) features the following components.

A Rectifier Unit Converts AC to DC power and controls and filters power to external devices.
B Fieldbus Coupler DeviceNet Communication module between the DeviceNet network and internal controls.
C Power Supply Power supply module, receives 400 VAC and outputs 24VDC.
D ABB PIB Unit I/O unit with an integrated wire feed regulator that communicates directly to the IRC5 Robot Controller.
E Fuse F2 Fuse for control voltage.
F QA100 Contactor QA100 heater line contactor.
G Fuses F11, F12, F13 Fuses for the heater DIB.
H QA10 Contactor QA10 Contactor to ABB Sentry BSR23 safety relay.
I ABB Sentry BSR23 Safety Relay Relay module that handles reset and restart functions, fault monitoring, safety logic processing and safety outputs for I/O through the IDC panel.
J Fuse F100 Fuse for Heater PIM on.
