Power Distribution Panel
General
There is one (1) Power Distribution Panel (PDP) located on the 2V11 Bodyside Sub Cell.
- 2V11+UC11
The Power Distribution Panel receives 480VAC 3-Phase 60hz power supplied from the facility electrical drop. After receiving the 480VAC from the facility electrical drop, the Power Distribution Panel will then distribute the 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC to each piece of equipment used in the 2V11 Bodyside Sub Cell.
To reduce the incoming 480VAC, there are two (2) transformers mounted to the top of the PDP. The transformers will reduce the incoming 480VAC and reduce the voltage down to 120VAC. Once the voltage is reduced, the transformers will distribute the 120VAC to the components that require it.
On the front of the panel, there is a flange mounted disconnect switch that will remove power from the PDP when placed into the Off position.
For further information regarding the electrical connections used throughout the 2V11 Bodyside Sub Cell, refer to the Wiring Diagram (WD) 2V11&EFS-EL.
Voltage Indicator / Test Point
A Voltage Indicator (A) / Test Point (B) is located below the Disconnect Switch for quickly inspecting the voltage at the panel.
The Test Point is used to verify that power exists or does not exist for each phase. Open the Test Point Door and then place the test each voltage point between legs and ground to verify that the proper voltage exists.
The Indicator displays the current voltage for each phase and ground. This can quickly help show issues with blow fuses or a stuck blade. If a blown fuse exists, for instance on L1, that L1 indicator will not be lit and the ground will be lit as power is going to ground. Normal operation should show L1, L2, and L3 as lit, while ground is not lit. When the disconnect switch is closed, all lights should also be off.
