End of Arm Tooling Storage Racks

General

At particular points in the sequence, the robots throughout the 2V08 Sideskin Roof Outer Cell will be required to swap their End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) to perform a different operation. They can hold one (1) to three (3) different EOAT.

There are a total of three (3) EOAT stands throughout the 2V08 Sideskin Roof Outer Cell. These are located at the following stations:

  • 2V08=V01AR201UR41
  • 2V08=V01AR11UR41
  • 2V08=V01AR11UR42

Major Components

The End of Arm Tooling Storage Racks feature the following internal components.

Item Description Function
A Dust Cover Assembly Lifts and lowers the dust cover when the robot nears the End of Arm Tooling Storage Racks when preparing for a tool change. The dust cover are meant for tool and tool attachment protection. Flow control valves are installed on both ports to reduce the clamp speeds.
B Valve and I/O Connection Module Unit Controls the pneumatics for the dust cover assembly. Also sends and receives signals to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
C Tool Stand Sensor Detects if a tool is on the tool stand hanger. Works with the active tool stand sensor on the tool plates, under the dust cover assembly, for checking that the tool is present in the parking position before the tool changer is permitted to open.
D Tunkers Clamp Secures the tool during the tool storage process.
