General

After all operations have been completed, robot 2V07=V01AR41PF1 will grab the part and transfer it over to the Date Scribe unit. Once in position, the Date Scribe will begin inscribing specified data directly onto the part. Once completed, robot 2V07=V01AR41 will move the part to the unload position.

Major Components

The Date Scribe features the following internal components.

Item Description Function
A Date Scriber Marks data onto the part. The part consists of a stylus that makes the mark on the surface which is controlled by compressed air.
B Inductive Sensor Detects the presence or absence of the part without making physical contact with them. It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a metal object is brought near the sensor, it disturbs the electromagnetic field produced by the sensor, which in turn causes a change in the sensor&s output signal.
C Pneumatic Air Panel Controls the pneumatics for the date scriber. Also sends and receives signals to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
D Tunkers Clamp Secures the part during the scribing of the part.
