Abicor Binzel Torch Cleaning Stations

General

The 2V13 Sub Floor Cross Member Cell features Abicor Binzel Torch Cleaning Stations. After a programmed number of mig weld operations, the robot will move over to the Cleaning Station. The cleaning station then automatically cleans the inside of the gas nozzle of the mig weld torches to extend the service life of the torches.

In order for cleaning, the cylindrical part of the torch's gas nozzle is held in the clamping device. the reamer moves into the gas nozzle interior and removes adhering weld spatter. At the same time, the gas nozzle interior is cleaned with compressed air.

Major Components

The Abicor Binzel Torch Cleaning Stations features the following components.

Item Description Function
A Pneumatic Motor Motor that drives the reaming process of the gas nozzle.
B Injection Unit Inflowing compressed air sucks in the anti-spatter fluid and mixes it with the compressed air flow.
C Anti-Spatter Fluid Bottles Two (2) bottles: one full of anti-spatter fluid and one holding the returned flow of the residue.
