Date Scribe
General
After all operations have been completed at Station 060, Robot 2V10=V01AR81 will grab the part and Respot Fixture (2V10=V01UQ53) and transfer it over to the Date Scribe unit. Once in position, the Date Scribe will begin inscribing specified data directly onto the part. Once completed, Robot 2V10=V01AR81 will move the part to the Vision Holding Fixture (2V10=V01UQ54).
Major Components
The Date Scribe features the following components.
Item | Description | Function |
---|---|---|
A | Date Scriber | Marks data onto the part. The part consists of a stylus that makes the mark on the surface which is controlled by compressed air. |
B | Inductive Sensor | Detects the presence or absence of the part without making physical contact with them. It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a metal object is brought near the sensor, it disturbs the electromagnetic field produced by the sensor, which in turn causes a change in the sensor&s output signal. |
C | Pneumatic Air Panel | Controls the pneumatics for the date scriber. Also sends and receives signals to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). |
D | Tunkers Clamp | Secures the part during the scribing of the part. |
