Major Components

The Weld Gun Change Stand feature the following components.

Item Description Function
A Dust Cover Assembly Lifts and lowers the dust cover when the robot nears the Weld Gun Change Stand when preparing for a tool change. The dust cover are meant for tool and tool attachment protection. Flow control valves are installed on both ports to reduce the clamp speeds.
B Tool Stand Hanger Allows for robot to disconnect and place the required Weld Gun End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) onto the stand and attach new EOAT.
C Valve Unit Controls the pneumatics for the dust cover assembly.
D I/O Connection Module (Profinet) Sends and receives signals to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
E Passive Tool Stand Sensor Detects if a tool is on the tool stand hanger. Works with the active tool stand sensor on the tool plate for checking that the tool is present in the parking position before the tool changer is permitted to open.
