Spot Welder End of Arm Tooling

General

The Robots used throughout the 2V11 Bodyside Sub Cell are equipped with ABB Spot Weld Guns. The robot will manipulate the weld gun around the part that is held in the Geo Fixture and will perform a programmed number of spot welds. After a programmed number of welds, the robot will move the spot welder over to the tip dresser to refurbish the welding electrode's copper tips.

To prevent the over heating of the weld tips, chilled water is supplied to the weld guns from the Main Water Stand. After the weld tips are cooled off, the water is sent back to the water stand.
